聖經說魔鬼是墮落的天使 ，是跟隨撒旦背叛了神的天使。
有人問：既然魔鬼是受造物，神為甚麽不把它一指頭搯死？
我想，神要消滅魔鬼容易，要消滅它的根源就難了。
因為它的根源是嫉妒。
只要神容許衪的受造物有自由意志，就會有嫉妒的滋生。
「嫉妒」的英文同義字 ENVY 同樣也解作 「羨慕」。
羨慕和嫉妒是一對孖生兒，它們卻各走極端…
一個推動繁華倡盛，一個卻招引毀滅和死亡。
嫉和妒兩個字都從「女」字。
中國造字的老祖宗把嫉妒和女性拉上了等號。
其實，男人的嫉妒心絕對不會輸給女人！

A more common Englsh translation for 嫉妒 is "Jealousy".
Jealousy is perhaps the most powerful, negative and destructive word; extreme opposit of Love, Compassion and Forgiveness.
Jealousy, almost without exception, leads one to inflict all possible injury to others, i.e. Vengeance.
Vengeance leads to total destruction of others as well as to oneself.
Jealousy and Vengeance destroy good relationships amongst relatives, friends, societies, churches and nations.
It is worse than CANCER!!!
The only cure is to Forgive through Compassion and LOVE as taught in the Bible. Admit we are all sinners alike. Our Saviour Jesus taught us to pray: "...forgive our sins as we forgive those who sinned against us. Lead us not into tempation but deliver us from evil [especially jealousy and vengeance...]
May God have mercy on us and help us to forgive others who have sinned against us so that we would receive Your blessings for peace and joy.
Praise the Lord Jesus, our Savior.
