.在 SFU 教書，用的教科書是 Pearson/Prentice Hall 出版的加拿大第六版 "Business"。
因為上課前學生們要把課本先讀好，所以每人都要有一本教科書。
誰知大學擺了一個烏龍，入錯貨，把第七版的 "Business" 賣了給學生。
過了兩個星期，第六版的 "Business" 終於收到。
校方的 Program Director 親自把書本帶到課室，打算和學生們交換。
結果無功而還。

原因很簡單：貪新！

If the content of both editions is almost the same, then I think it's a kind of personal choice for the students, unless there is a 'must' rule. This reminds me the HK Education Department (forcing us to buy new edition every year), and it's a big burden for our parents.
